AppLogic Software, LLC - Initial Logos Done!

Well, I finally got of my lazy butt and registered AppLogic Software, LLC. OK, so technically I did it all online, while sitting on my lazy butt, but that is beside the point.
As part of my little online registration package, there was an option to get some logo design work done and all that other kind of graphic artsy stuff that you need to get done for making official documents that have your logo and stuff on them.
Well, they are done with the concept logos, and I gotta say, I think they look pretty sharp so far. Maybe I am just easily impresed or colorblind (*cough*likeKevin*cough*) but I dunno. I will let you decide. Let me know what you think! I can have them do changes on any of these concepts and stuff as part of my package - this is just the initial concept art.

I kind of like #2 the best as-is, but they can change the colors for me and made modifications to the existing concept art there. I like 1 but it needs more color. I like 5 because of the little symbol there because it looks cool and it would be a good brand identifier without the words at all... but the entire name spread across like that I don`t like at all.
I also like #1 because of brand identification reasons. If you look close, you will see that it is a letter "A" with a slanted letter "L" inside of it.
Really, I like all of them pretty well except 7... Thats kind of a weird looking one to me.
I guess my major requirements are: professional-looking, high-tech looking, and brand-identificaion (preferabley symbol identification)
And Jim, you are right, the symbol in #5 would look really cool on a hat =D

Number 7 looks like you're spearheading an alien invasion or something, and numbers 2 and 5 look like your customers will be working with Applogic Software. I'd go for 1 or 4. Glad to see thenullset is back in operation again

Have to agree on 7, although I personally love alien invasions. I'd vote for 6, since I'm a huge sucker for the Eurostile font, but the soft grey makes it too hard to read. 1 or 3.

When I read Jordan`s Beard`s comment at first, I saw "erstwhile" instead of "Eurostyle". I thinks to myself, "Oh gee, here we go again. It`s 8:30 in the AM and I already have to dust off the superdy-duperdy Doctorate in Advanced English Studies Textbook and read 300 pages on the word, just to see what that word actually means. Gosh, you gotta stop using words over 7 letters around me, Jordan! You know my brain can only handle 14 bytes of data (assuming unicode character set) at a time!!!
Oh yeah, and if you have any suggestions, like `'take the neato ball thing from 5, make it pink with orange trim, and stick it in #7, and add a beam of bright light and a couple aliens with antenae holding the `A` and the `C` in AppLogic togther``, please write those down. This is just concept art, which basically means I can have them revise the existing concepts many multiple times with the superdy-duperdy package I bought with this company - for no additional charge. So yeah, if you have ideas on the existing concepts listed, please post them! I will put up the revisions as they become available.

Whoa, Malburg... Last I knew you'd just finished working on WingDings and were studying ASCII. Let's not get ahead of yourself here... There are some very scary pixels in Unicode. LIke the alien invaders over the German umlaut letters ä ö ü. Did you know umlaut translates to "watch out from above for those alien pixels" when spoken loudly and emphatically as in an old 1940's german movie.
Moving on towards a point... (3 actually) I think you should go with 1, 2, or 5. 4 looks like it has something to do with audio or wireless with the carrot looking things. 2 and 5 kinda remind me of the B0RG! If you end up doing any open source thievery, you could adopt the motto: "Resistance is Futile. Your code will be assimilated". You might also try a nice "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US" terminal font, to give it that "foreign programmer" look and feel that is so popular, yet so unintuitive. But if you wanna be dull, booring and professional, go with 1.
