Nullset webmaster Mike Malburg resurfaced in the real world today after what his friends, family, and local authorities believe to be a City of Heroes binge lasting approximately four days.

"I haven't been able to find the retard for like a week," grumbled friend and fellow admin Jordan Racey.  "This is what his MSN has displayed for the last seventy-two hours:  'V01D {Kitten teething on my toes...} (Online).'  But he HASN'T been online!  He's been playing City of Heroes nonstop, the useless dork!  I'm only going away to England - I would've liked to talk to him before I leave, but oh no!  Random muggers who aren't actually committing crimes have to be randomly stalked and killed, lest the pixelated citizens of Paragon City not get to execute their 'I've been saved' animations!"

Malburg goes by the game alias "SpriteKiller," is a Level 20 Scrapper who has "been arresting (via stabbing with claws to death) lots of mob (sic) and other dudes."  He was awarded a cape by Paragon City authorities last Saturday in recognition to his contribution to fascististic, extralegal vigilante justice in the Rhode Island metropolis. 

The Nullset webmaster/CEO, who has had food preparation facilites installed in his computer room and a urinary catheter into his body to avoid leaving the game, was unsure how many criminals he has mercilessly slaughtered since beginning his career as a cyber-superhero, but he stated that "Heck, I dunno.  Ten thousand?  Anyway, it's really a lot.  I slash 'em and they fall down and die!  Hee hee!  Uh, I mean...get arrested and taken to jail...with no head or major limbs...not really...uh..."

Meanwhile, Malburg's family and friends are gathering to hold an intervention, with intent to have the 22 year-old webmaster and game junkie institutionalized, in hopes of breaking the death grip this game has on his time and attention.  His kitten, Nala, has been seized by local animal control authorities and placed in a foster home after Malburg was discovered to have poured her a bowl of antifreeze with SPAM floating in it during a routine feeding.  This is believed to be a result of Malburg's sleep deprivation and weakening grip on reality caused by excessive playing of City of Heroes.

Malburg's creditors asked not to be identified but issued the following statement: 

"We have essentially abandoned ever getting Mr. Malburg to pay his bills, which continue to pile up because of his monthly City of Heroes and internet charges.

We're planning on settling for having him killed."
